Secondary care diabetes professionals from across the UK came together at our first face-to-face FreeStyle Libre event since 2019.

Held in London, the event provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas and hear the latest evidence on CGM, Hybrid Closed Loop developments, DKA management and patient engagement. Through interactive workshops and dedicated networking time, attendees benchmarked their approaches, shared challenges and left with practical ideas they could apply immediately to improve outcomes for people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Attendees joined an engaging CPD learning experience designed to strengthen clinical confidence and data interpretation skills.

The first part of the forum focused on clinical evidence updates and practical data interpretation strategies through case-based learning, discussion and interactive polling. During the second part of the day, participants selected two specialised small-group workshops covering diabetic ketoacidosis management, improving Type 2 diabetes outcomes, paediatric data interpretation and psychological behaviour change. Attendees left with practical strategies to support clinical decision-making and improve diabetes care across a range of settings.

Applying evidence and innovation to improve outcomes in Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes

This essential live training day brought together secondary care teams committed to improving outcomes for people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.

Attendees explored the latest evidence in CGM for Type 2 diabetes, including FreeDM2 trial results, examined Hybrid Closed Loop developments, strengthened recognition and management of DKA, and learned from real-world patient experiences of FreeStyle Libre systems. Through interactive discussion and practical learning, participants applied CGM insights in Type 2 diabetes and paediatric practice, explored strategies to improve engagement with diabetes technology, and translated evidence into everyday clinical decision-making.
