Delving into HCL nuances

Due to popular demand, our inspiring HCL training workshops were updated for 2026. This programme provided key learning around the latest challenges in Hybrid Closed Loop, alongside a ‘back-to-basics’ session designed to help colleagues build confidence in getting started with HCL technology.

Each of the eight workshops was led by an expert in the field and used evidence-based case study examples to strengthen attendees’ approach to optimising the technology and enhancing the support they provide to people living with Type 1 diabetes.

Clinical case-study training

Practical, hands-on and clinically highly relevant, this training day provided attendees with the opportunity to work through real-world scenarios, explore what effective optimisation looks like and leave with increased confidence in getting the most from Hybrid Closed Loop systems for their patients.

Participants selected and attended four of eight case-based workshops covering a range of key topics, including frailty management, getting started with HCL, exercise optimisation, Type 1 diabetes and weight management in children and young people, optimising HCL settings, pregnancy management, navigating comorbidities, and supporting neurodivergent individuals to engage with diabetes technology.
